 "The Knit Whits"

This handiwork group meets Wednesdays mornings at 10 am. 

This group continues, as an online group during COVID-19.  To join in, please message our minister for more information. 

The focus of this ministry is to provide prayer shawls for those experiencing difficult times.  We have also created dolls for a medical mission that goes to Ghana. We work on our own projects, as well.

The Goodwood UCW meets on Thursdays in the Church for lunch (September-June) followed by Bible study, topical discussion, outings, speakers and fellowship.

We regularly plan calendar events that help support our church and the community. All events are organized  in advance and involve not only UCW members but many volunteers in the community and people of various age groups.  Some of our fundraising include, bazaar and bake sales, soup luncheons, community dinners.

As well as charities and projects of the United Church, like Massey Centre, Camping Opportunities, Fred Victor Mission, etc through our fundraising efforts we are proud to have donated to diverse groups  including: Uxbridge Youth Centre, Windreach Farms, Uxbridge Hospital Auxiliary, Basketeers, Fort Mac and several individuals.

Goodwood United Church - UCW Purpose:

To unite the women of the congregation for the total mission of the Church and to provide a means through which we may express our loyalty and devotion to Jesus Christ in Christian Witness, Study, Fellowship and  ServiceIf customers can’t find it, it doesn’t exist. Clearly list and describe the services you offer. Also, be sure to showcase a premium service.

Following Thursday's 10 am coffee hour, 

you are invited to  stay and join us for a variety of  crafts including painting, sculpting, sewing, etc. There's a project for everyone.  

We are a mixed group - of seniors, Adults and children are most welcome.
